The Dufresne & Gauthier Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "FDG") attaches great importance to the protection of personal information.
In this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy"), you will learn how our organization collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information you may provide while using this site and the online donation platform (the site and donation collection are hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Services").
We will collect and use your personal information in accordance with the Policy, without exception. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Policy and you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance therewith.
Principles for the Protection of Personal Information
The FDG is committed to respecting and applying the following principles regarding the protection of personal information.
The expectations for the various stakeholders responsible for applying the Policy are described in more detail below.
Objectives
- Present the principles governing the protection of personal information;
- Define the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders in connection with the protection of personal information.
Scope
The rules described in this Policy apply to you if we collect your personal information as part of our activities. For example, this will be the case if:
• You contact us by email, phone, or otherwise;
• You make a donation via our website (hereinafter the "Site");
• You participate in an activity organized by the FDG.
Accountability
FDG is responsible for all personal information it collects and manages, including information entrusted to a third party for processing
1. What personal information do we collect?
We consider "personal information" to be any information about you that allows you to be identified directly or indirectly (for example, by associating it with other information). The personal information we collect generally falls into one or more of the following categories:
For donation forms: your first name, last name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, type and amount of the donation, as well as bank details to complete the transaction.
Certain types of donations may lead to further questions to better define your intentions (for example, a planned gift, a gift in honor of a loved one, or a gift of stock).
For registration forms (for activities, invitations, collaborations or otherwise): your first name, last name, email address, and occasionally your postal code or organization.
For inquiries from you: your first name, last name, email address, and the information you provide in the fields to be completed. We kindly ask you not to send us personal or otherwise confidential information that is not necessary for the performance of our activities.
For individuals who interact with us, whether in person, by phone or email, through social media or otherwise, we may collect any information you provide to us. We will only retain information that is necessary, and we kindly ask you not to send us personal or otherwise confidential information that is not necessary for the performance of our activities.

• To communicate with you to inform you of the impact of your donation;
• To produce anonymized statistics and to develop and improve our Services;
