The Dufresne & Gauthier Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "FDG") attaches great importance to the protection of personal information.

In this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy"), you will learn how our organization collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information you may provide while using this site and the online donation platform (the site and donation collection are hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Services").

We will collect and use your personal information in accordance with the Policy, without exception. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Policy and you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance therewith.

The FDG is committed to respecting and applying the following principles regarding the protection of personal information.

• You make a donation via our website (hereinafter the "Site");
• You participate in an activity organized by the FDG.

Accountability
FDG is responsible for all personal information it collects and manages, including information entrusted to a third party for processing

We consider "personal information" to be any information about you that allows you to be identified directly or indirectly (for example, by associating it with other information). The personal information we collect generally falls into one or more of the following categories:

For donation forms: your first name, last name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, type and amount of the donation, as well as bank details to complete the transaction.

Certain types of donations may lead to further questions to better define your intentions (for example, a planned gift, a gift in honor of a loved one, or a gift of stock).

For registration forms (for activities, invitations, collaborations or otherwise): your first name, last name, email address, and occasionally your postal code or organization.

For inquiries from you: your first name, last name, email address, and the information you provide in the fields to be completed. We kindly ask you not to send us personal or otherwise confidential information that is not necessary for the performance of our activities.

For individuals who interact with us, whether in person, by phone or email, through social media or otherwise, we may collect any information you provide to us. We will only retain information that is necessary, and we kindly ask you not to send us personal or otherwise confidential information that is not necessary for the performance of our activities.

Your personal information will not be used without your consent for purposes other than those for which it was collected or in accordance with applicable laws. From time to time, we may use personal information collected for emergent or additional purposes, and if so,
we will modify this privacy policy to include these emergent or additional purposes and obtain your consent before doing so.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal obligations.

The FDG may use personal information or disclose it for other purposes if the data subject consents or if required by law.

Examples:

• With service providers who assist the FDG with its activities and Services, including monitoring and analyzing activities on the Site, as well as the operation and maintenance of the Site. These service providers and business partners may only use your personal information for the purposes described in this Policy;
• When necessary to protect the security, property or other rights of the organization, its representatives, and users of the Services, including to detect and protect against fraud;
• If the FDG transfers its assets, in whole or in part, to an affiliated company or a third party. Your personal information will continue to be subject to any pre-existing privacy policy, unless you agree to the privacy policy of the company or third party that acquired your personal information;
• With your consent or when required or mandated by law.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the contact details provided below, and we will respond to your request within the timeframes set out in applicable laws. We will need to verify your identity before providing you with the personal information we hold about you. There is no charge for such an access request.

Please note that we cannot authorize access to your personal information where it cannot be separated from information about other individuals, cannot be disclosed for security or trade secret reasons, or is protected by legal privilege. If we are unable to give you access to your personal information, we will notify you of the reasons for refusing access. You may request that your personal information be updated or changed by contacting us at the contact details provided below. We will endeavour to correct or update personal information that you identify as inaccurate or incomplete. Where necessary, changes will also be forwarded to relevant third parties with access to this information.
